World’s Best Brass & Silver Polish

This polish won our test for BEST brass polish at our factory! MAAS Metal Polish is a powerful wipe on, wipe off formula that instantly removes years of residue, rust, tarnish and oxidation from all metals and more. The tarnish removes easily by wiping on, then rub off! This polish is concentrated so just a dab restores large areas and it does not settle and whiten in the crevices as paste polishes do. Apply lightly and buff off right away. This polish also has a corrosion inhibitor to provide long-lasting protection against tarnishing! Safe for all metals. 4 oz tube

Brass Bed of Virginia Easy Brass and Silver Lacquering Kit

Our exclusive kit with everything you need to polish and protect your brass bed or silver candlesticks! Includes 4 oz Mass brass polish, set of nitrate gloves, 15 x 15 microfiber polishing cloth, 12 oz ProtectaClear spray (covers 60 square feet), instructions.
Instructions:
1. Remove any old lacquer or coatings (if any) with xylene or lacquer thinner. You can test for old coatings by trying to clean a small area. If the brass or silver cleans easily with polish, then there is probably no protective coating on the metal.

2. We recommend taking a brass bed apart to apply the coating but some people polish it intact. This is a personal preference. Sealing individual pieces ensures a more complete protective finish.

3. Note: If an acid based polish like Brasso or Tarnex is used, the acid must be neutralized with EZ-Prep Cleaner or baking soda and water. Then rinse the neutralizer off the brass with plain water and dry. Wipe with a clean solvent like xylene or denatured alcohol (available at hardware stores) to remove any contaminants.

4. Polish the brass bed using small amounts of our Maas polish (made for brass and silver), the polishing cloth, and our nitrate gloves. Do not use abrasives as brass is very soft and will scratch easily. MAAS polish is an excellent polish and is not acid based so it does not need neutralizing.

5. Then apply the clear spray in two thin coats with an hour in between coats. Let dry and you’re done!

Superior Spray Lacquer 12 oz

This Everbrite Aerosol Spray provides a commercial clear coat finish for long-term protection from tarnish, corrosion, and oxidization and keeps your brass and silver looking freshly polished. Formulated especially for metal that gets a lot of handling or abuse like railings, jewelry, sinks, countertops, brass beds or other metal that gets a lot of use, this spray is tough and scratch resistant and helps to reduce fingerprints and smudges on highly polished metal or stainless steel. It is even durable enough for exterior use! We tested all clear finishes (including ProtectaClear and Mohawk) and this was by far superior in terms of smell, drips and application. It is easy to apply (spray on in thin layers). Make sure your brass, silver, etc are properly prepped before using this superior spray (consult our Finishing Kit instructions). With aerosol cans on large areas, it is easy to get thin spots that are not completely protected. Several coats of spray with be necessary. Covers 60 square feet.

Care of Your Brass Product:

1. Assembly:

We recommend using cotton gloves when handling and assembling your new brass bed to protect the fine polished finish achieved from rouge, polishing wheels and hand rubbing in the factory. Do NOT use ammonia, Windex, etc. or abrasive cleaners to remove fingerprints (see “cleaning” below). Place the fancy feet (if ordered) on the side posts and then tap the side rail joints to the rails with the light tap of a hammer or use a rubber mallet. Next place the cross slats equally spaced in thirds. Then attach the frame support legs with the screws provided. King size beds have a center support rail as well.
2. Cleaning:

We recommend cleaning with Maas polish and touching up with Maas polishing cloths. If you wish to apply a more permanent polish, use our exclusive Everbrite kits.We recommend cleaning with Maas polish and touching up with Maas polishing cloths.
